Halfmoon Reef Lighthouse is decked out for the holidays. The Cuellar, Baker and Grissom families adopted the lighthouse as part of the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-Spot program. Inside a tree forest has been sponsored by area organizations. Attendees can bring a non-perishable item and vote on their favorite tree. The lighthouse is open from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly.

Photos By Tania French Volunteers with the Lucia Ornelas Foundation take a short break from distribution of Thanksgiving meals Saturday. A total of 100 families received all the necessities for a homemade Thanksgiving meal. This is the 13th year that the Foundation has provided meals.
