Fritz Gerald Wilke Jr.

Fritz Gerald Wilke, Jr., 78, of Port Lavaca, Texas entered eternal rest on May 12, 2024. He was born to the late Fritz Wilke, Sr. and Geraldine Wilke on January 31, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Family and friends gathered for visitation Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Port Lavaca. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria.

Fritz loved serving his community and he did so with owning Wilke Tire for 40+ years and his 40 years in law enforcement. On December 21, 1978 he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Johnson. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, parents, children and grandchildren. Fritz had a love of music. He played a tenor saxophone very well and played in several dance bands including, Trebleos, Memories, Shiner Polka Boys and Terry and the Venturas.

In addition to his parents, Fritz was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Norland Wilke.

Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Patricia Ann Wilke of 46 years of Port Lavaca, Texas; daughter, Deanne Wilke of Austin, Texas; sons, Fritz G. Wilke III (Theresa) of Edna, Texas, Cary M. Wilke of Port Lavaca, Texas; aunts and uncles, Albert and Lola May, Henry and Plama, Hilda and Troy; cousins, Donnie, Joyce, Terri, Henry, Brent, Karen, Jennifer, Elma, Lester, Debbie, Kay, Cindy and Gayle; grandchildren, Ryan, Christian, Elvie, Jamison and Jansyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
