Marcos Vincent Gohlke, 86, of Victoria passed away with his family singing him to heaven on February 25, 2025. He was born in Seadrift, TX on March 4, 1938 to Elwood Earnest and Louis Lucille Gohlke.
Marcos married LaDonna Sue McCauley on June 20, 1959 in Oglesby, TX. Marcos and Sue served alongside each other in churches in Tivoli, TX, Glen Rose, TX, Bloomfield, NM, Port Lavaca, TX, Crescent Valley, TX, Three Rivers, TX, Bloomington, TX, Port O’Connor, TX, then Tivoli, TX again, where they finally retired. After Sue’s passing in 2022, Marcos married Shirley Caldwell on August 31, 2023.
Marcos is survived by his wife, Shirley Gohlke of Victoria; children, Mark Gohlke and spouse, Tinky, of Midlothian, TX., Anthony Gohlke and spouse, Christine, of Port Lavaca, TX, Daughter Misti Ryan and spouse, Micah, of League City, TX.; sisters, Marsha Jean Sells (Ronnie) of Port Lavaca, Ethelene Lou Key (Bobby) of Seadrift; and brothers, Dennis Allen Gohlke (Janet) of Seadrift, and Lynn Edward Gohlke (Ronda) of Seadrift.
Also survived by twelve grandchildren (in order of age), Michael, Melissa, Meg, Wesley, Eric, Aaron, Marygrace, Micah, Noah, Madeline, Meredith, Molly Sue, eleven great grandchildren (in order of age), Duke, Garrett, Isabella, Margaret Sue, Rebecca, Joanna, Isla, Dexter, Lucille, Shae, and Luke.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, LaDonna Sue Gohlke and his parents.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Northside Baptist Church in Victoria with Brother T.J. Girt officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael M. Gohlke, Wesley W. Gohlke, Eric E. Gohlke, Aaron A. Gohlke, Noah N. Gohlke, and Micah T. Ryan. Honorary Pallbearers are Micah Ryan and Ryan Neighbors.
