CONTRIBUTED photo Larry and Dale Sanders, of Fort Worth, visit with HJM Elementary School first grade students in Macileigh Burris’ class. The students are studying Christmas Around the World with a focus on Germany. Since gingerbread originated in Germany, the Sanders’ read “Gingerbread Mouse,” before the students decorated, ate and wrote about how to make a gingerbread cookie.
