Sherry Ann Worley Dierlam, 83, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024. She was born August 25, 1941 in Houston, Texas, to Wilford and Ruby Pauline Bishop Worley. Sherry was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Sherry married the love of her life, David on June 27, 1960 and established a home in Seadrift, TX. Sherry worked at Seadrift Schools as the food service manager and decided to retire in 2006 after 20 years of service to travel with her husband. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Their marriage was a testament to their unwavering commitment and deep affection for one another. Sherry and David were blessed with five children, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Seadrift. And also was very active as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who instilled in them the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance. She was also a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan!
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David L. C. Dierlam; parents Wilford and Ruby Pauline Bishop Worley; sister Wilma Aguayo; and brothers Donald Worley and Jimmy Worley. She is survived by her children Tanya Cady (Woody); Vaughn Dierlam (Celeste); Shawn Dierlam (Jennifer); Damon Dierlam (Shari); and Regina Martinez (Julian); her grandchildren Dustin, Christopher, Hunter, Tasha, Zeke, Malachi, Isabella, Sonny, Megan, Brent, Stetson, Christian, Zoey, Michael, Isaiah, Aspen, Gunner and Davian; and her brothers Danny Worley and Clifton Worley; all her nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her and will be missed by all.
Sherry will be remembered for her strong spirit and her unwavering love for her family.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Zeke Dierlam, Brent Dierlam, Aspen Whitstine, Stetson Dierlam, Malachi Arriaga, Sonny Arriaga, Gunner Martinez, and Davian Martinez and Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 10 am at First Assembly of God in Seadrift, Texas, immediately followed by interment in Seadrift Cemetery.
