Alicia Pena Morales

Alicia Pena Morales, age 69, of Port Lavaca passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was born in Poteet, TX on February 16, 1955, to the late Librado Pena and Ernestina Jimenez

She was a seamstress her whole life, loved baking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mario Morales; daughters,  Kimberly Resendez, Vanessa Flores (Chris)  and Megan Harper (Chris); sisters Mary Talamantez (Joe) of Pleasanton, Frances Lopez (Jose), Andrea Hernandez (Alex), JoAnn Tatom (Travis), Denise Martinez (Markie), all of Port Lavaca; brothers Manuel Pena (Rita) of San Antonio, Benito Pena (Lydia), Patrick Pena (Naddy), & James Flores, all of Port Lavaca.  Alicia leaves behind 11 grandchildren to cherish her memory,  Christopher Galindo, Adrian Hernandez (Raquel), Kasie Galindo, KyLee Cormier, Camiell Yniquez, Caimbre Cruz, Caisley Cruz, Casien Flores, Caia Flores, Blaire Harper and Blanton Harper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Mario Morales Jr, and brother Ricardo Pena.

Visitation was held at Grace Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 pm.  Funeral mass will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, 415 W Austin St., Port Lavaca. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers are Jerry Longoria, Jaiden Longoria, Chris Flores Jr, Christian Morales, John Morales, Louis McDonald, and Larry Hernandez.
