Memorial Medical Center Board of Managers has named Erin Clevenger as CEO, as of Tuesday, Oct. 1. Previously appointed as Memorial Medical Center interim-CEO last April, Clevenger will now lead the hospital permanently.
Clevenger has worked at Memorial Medical Center for more than 24 years and started her career as a registered nurse in the medical, surgical department at MMC before serving as quality director for five years. In 2013, she became chief nursing officer at MMC, and in 2023, she also gained the role of director of clinical services.

“I am so excited and thankful for this opportunity. I will dedicate everything I have to making it a place where everyone will feel comfortable and confident coming in for their healthcare needs. This hospital means so much to me on a personal and professional level. I have had my life saved here, I’ve had children born here, and I’ve spent decades working here. The employees of Memorial Medical Center are family to me,” Clevenger said. “There is nothing more that I want than to make this a place where they want to be each day, to make it a place where they are excited to provide the best patient care, and where they are proud to tell people they work.”
Outside of her role as CEO, Clevenger also serves on the Texas Hospital Association’s Quality and Patient Safety Committee, as well as the association’s education committee and communications council.
“For the citizens of Calhoun County and the patients of Memorial Medical Center, my goal is to continue to push this hospital forward to a place that provides the highest quality healthcare, to have healthcare professionals trained in the most current practices, and to offer the appropriate services that people need right here, close to home. I thank the board for this opportunity, and I thank my community and co-workers for their continued support,” Clevenger said.
Clevenger said she is also a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and is involved in many community organizations.
“We look forward to an exciting future for Memorial Medical Center and believe that we have chosen a leader that will make Memorial Medical Center the top choice for healthcare in Calhoun County,” Memorial Medical Center’s Board of Managers said in a memo to staff.
