“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Michael McGrew, 66, of Port Lavaca went to his heavenly home surrounded by his loved ones on August 13, 2024. He was born October 18, 1957 in Orrville, Ohio to Donald F. and Marian “Betsy” Odean McGrew. Michael worked as an Electrician for Inteplast for thirty-one years…always claiming he went to work to rest! He loved tinkering with trucks and home projects. He proudly served in the United States Army! He loved spending time fishing, hunting, mowing, reading, listening to Christian music, spending time at The Frio, and loved family time - especially with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Sherron McGrew; children, Brittany Braden (Willis), Briley Sutherland (Stalin), Brighton McGrew (Haleigh), Brayson McGrew (Danny); brothers, Danny McGrew (Laura), Keith McGrew (Jenny), Steven McGrew (Cynthia); brother-in-law, William Lee Janssen; and grandchildren, Kenley, Kaisley, Bellamy, Raegan, Brooklyn, Aubrey, Anderson, Stratton, Ryatt, Scout, Eva Jo, Swade, and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donny McGrew.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Parkway Church in Port Lavaca.
