She was born to Monroe Crober and Opal (Smith) Crober on Chapman Ranch in Texas.

She was a member of Port Lavaca Christian Center with her son, Pastor Nathan Smalley, as her pastor.

She gave her life to the Lord when she was in her twenties and served Him faithfully till the end.

She is survived by her children Larry (Lelen) Smalley, Nathan Smalley, Janice Grantland, Mark (Enrica) Smalley, David (Keri) Smalley; 21 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Ray Crober, Buster Crober, and Betsy McGrew; her husband Johnny L. Smalley, her sons Dale Smalley, and Michael Smalley, and her grandson Tommy Grantland.

Grandma Ann was a homemaker who lived her life for all those around her. She loved having Thanksgivings and Christmases at her home and she enjoyed cooking for and serving her family.

She owned a daycare, ‘Kiddie Kollege’ for over 15 years and all the children who she cared for there, knew her as their ‘Grandma Ann’ too. She had lots of love for everyone, and she especially loved her very large family; every single one of them!

She was deeply loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
