Jo Ann Landers Billings

Jo Ann Landers Billings, born May 9, 1934 in Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully after a brief illness on July 15, 2024. She married Wheeler C. Billings, the love of her life on January 27, 1951. They enjoyed sixty happy years together until his passing in 2010. They were longtime active members of Monterrey Baptist Church in Lubbock, where they served the Lord and built many lasting friendships. She was a good friend and neighbor, who enjoyed dominos with her friends, visiting her grandchildren, and became an avid reader in her later years. JoAnn moved to Port Lavaca in 2021 to be close to her daughter, Cathy.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Ray Billings (Lisa) of San Antonio; daughter, Cathy Ann Buehring (Dennis) of Port Lavaca; grandsons, Chris Wall, Ryder Billings, and Travis Buehring; and great-granddaughters, Savannah and Sloane Wall.

Her family wants to extend their deep appreciation for the excellent and compassionate care she received by the fourth floor medical providers at Citizens Hospital in Victoria. They were her angels on the ground in her last days and prior to that, the lovely caregivers at Trinity Shores and Bethany Senior Living of Port Lavaca.
