Laura Paulette Dare

Laura Paulette Simmons Dare, 72, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2024, at her home in Port Lavaca Texas. Paulette was born on October 2, 1951. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents Reggie and Nita Burnett Simmons, and her husband Ernie Dare of Port Lavaca and step-children Allen Dare and Mickey Fritz. Paulette graduated from Conroe High School in 1970 and attended college at Tyler Junior College for 2 years.

Paulette worked at Box Lunch in Port Lavaca for many years. Paulette is survived by her children, Randy Barfield and wife, Marsha, of San Antonio and Brandy Sanders of Port Lavaca and step-children Michael Dare, Karri Boyd, Donna Maverick and Gloria Goyen. Paulette is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kim Simmons and wife Kay, of Victoria.

Paulette loved and cared for her family, who were surprised by her sudden passing, but greatly rejoice that she is safe and secure with Jesus forever because of her faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Paulette’s memorial service will be held at Parkway Church in Port Lavaca on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
