Rene Mutchler

Rene Mutchler was called home to Jesus on May 11, 2025. She was the embodiment of kindness, the sweetest soul imaginable, and, in the eyes of her daughter, unequivocally the world's best mom.

Rene lived a life brimming with joy and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures. Her gentle spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a trail of warmth and compassion wherever she went. She also had a very special bond with her beloved cat, Ella, who brought her so much joy and companionship.

Above all else, Rene cherished her role as a mother to her daughter, Ashley. Their bond was extraordinary, a testament to a love that knew no bounds. They were not only mother and daughter but also the dearest of friends and adventurous travel companions. Together, they explored the wonders of the world, creating cherished memories that Ashley will hold close to her heart forever. From the Amazon rainforest to the glaciers of Iceland, their journeys were filled with laughter, discovery, and an unbreakable connection.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashley, her husband, Michael, her sister, Lisa, and her nieces Chelsea (Josh) and Siera (Timmy). She was preceded 

in death by her parents, Doris and Ralph.

A celebration of Rene's life will be held at the VFW in Port Lavaca, TX, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to Hospice of South Texas (https://hospice–vic.org/donate/).

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we take solace in knowing that Rene's radiant spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched. Her love will forever be our guiding star, and the memories we shared will be treasured always. She was, and will always be, deeply loved.
